ProfileUmayr ibn Abi Waqqas

Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) was the younger brother of Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, and accepted Islam very young. According to the early biographies, when the army of the Prophet ﷺ set out for Badr, Umayr was a boy of about sixteen, and the Prophet ﷺ sent him back because he was too young. According to the early biographies, he wept and begged to be allowed to go, saying that he did not want to miss the chance of Paradise, until the Prophet ﷺ gave him permission. According to the early biographies, he was killed at Badr.
